If you have done all the arts and crafts you could think of during the pandemic, then it may be time to enjoy someone else's in the beautifully crafted cardboard world that is Pile Up Box by Box. This game brings a very mild and calm atmosphere to the 3d platformer genre. There is not a whole lot going on here. And that's a good thing! Leaving this game as a relaxing time to enjoy solo or with friends. The game contains a short tutorial and four different levels that consist of light platforming, with a larger emphasis on solving puzzles using the various items found in the maps.

Portal and its sequel Portal 2 are known to the world as two of the best video games ever made! They are filled with mind-bending puzzles that force you to think in ways outside the box! These games are hilarious, trippy, and great fun! The puzzles all revolve around the main mechanic of the portal gun which allows you to create portals from virtually anywhere to anywhere. The game presents you with what we would now consider escape rooms that get increasingly more complex and convoluted as you progress. Featuring buttons to push, momentum-based puzzles, cubes to weigh down pressure plates, lasers that need to be directed through portals, and much more!

Merek's Market takes the shopkeeper in all your favorite RPGs and lets you experience just how difficult their job can be. From crafting items, stocking shelves, and haggling over the price, this game provides an adventure far deeper than your average cooking game. Merek’s Market follows a similar game design as overcooked. Customers will enter your shop seeking specific items and it is your job to craft those items for them. However, instead of monotonously chopping onions and tomatoes the whole time you will be smelting glass, crafting leather gloves, forging steel swords, and brewing helpful potions.

If you have watched any reviews, you probably have a pretty good idea of what Kirby and the Forgotten Land has to offer. Fantastic fun for everyone, right? Or maybe not. While we both thoroughly enjoyed Kirby and the Forgotten Land as a solo game, the same may not be said about playing the game in co-op! Here is why!

KeyWe has you playing as two adorable kiwi birds named Jeff and Debra. You have just been hired to work at the Bungalow Basin telepost! You will spend your time shipping out packages, typing telegrams, delivering letters and much more! We thoroughly enjoyed KeyWe from a gameplay standpoint. However, about half way through the game we ran into something that left us feeling uncomfortable. Because of that we did not finish the game, and might not recommend it for some families. Enter The Gungeon is a strange yet extremely enjoyable thrill. It maintains a unique balance of wacky pun-and-gun based charm with thrilling shootouts, interesting characters and story, and dozens of hours worth of replaying. From the tutorial, Gungeon teaches you everything you need to know about the rest of the game: shoot, dodge, and use items for extra help. It doesn’t sound like much, but when there are hundreds of guns and items to find during your escape attempts, you’ll almost never shoot the same bullet twice.

With their re-release these two top down run and gun games include over 70 levels, each filled with different neighbors from the pippy cheerleader to the adorable dog. These individuals are all in mortal peril from the monsters in every old horror movie you can think of. This leaves you as either Zeke or Julie to play solo or co-op and rescue them.

When my wife and I picked up the demo we had both had incredibly long days at work, and had a stressful time putting the kid to bed! We had the intention to make a ten minute video, and go to bed. Despite all of this and the fact that we both had to go to work in the morning we continued playing the game far longer, much past when we normally would have slept. And we would have continued playing, if we had not completed the demo! So, the question is, why?

After three years, we finally have another Warioware game! And this time it comes with some incredible new features, including 2 player co-op! Warioware has been around since 2003. These games are jam packed full of tiny microgames which are extremely tiny mini games. Each one lasts only a few seconds. It first gives you a simple instruction, then leaves you to solve each puzzle.

Very Very Valet is a new couch co-op game with an amusing and colorful art style, and a severe parking crisis. Team up with 1-4 players to become the best valets the world has ever seen. As a member of Very Very Valet it is your job to solve the parking crises no matter what the cost. Find a balance between parking vehicles and returning them to their owners before they mysteriously disappear.

The world has been flooded by a trash tsunami, so you and your trashy friends should get ready to set sail. Enjoy a charming hand drawn art style, from the characters to the environment. Sail across a variety of seas and pillage for treasure. Trash is your treasure, and you will use it to repair your ship, fuel the engine and make weapons to defend your ship from toxic crocs, swamp sharks, giant spiders, crazy pirates, and more!

Secret Neighbor is finally coming to PS4, iOS, and Nintendo Switch! This game was released in 2019 on the Xbox One and on PC, but it has been a long two years waiting for the game to hit our other consoles. The PS4 version of the game finally became available April 29th. However we will have to wait until summer before we get the Nintendo Switch version of the game. These new releases will support crossplay and will offer up to 6 player online co-op.

If you love adorable things and playing video games with your significant other then you are definitely going to be interested in River Tails Stronger Together! This is honestly one of the cutest games we have ever seen! It is a co-op 3D platformer where you play as Finn the Fish and Furple the cat! These two characters have unique personalities, and while cats and fish are often portrayed as enemies, these two need to work together to progress through the gorgeous platforming stages as they attempt to rescue Furple’s family at the top of the icy mountain!

This quirky game is family friendly, and looks great for a calm play session with friends! It drops you into a beautifully crafted cardboard world, with sun baked islands, amber forests, and vibrant caves. Where you and upto 3 of your friends can play locally as a variety of colorful boxes. The gameplay itself is in the form of a cooperative 3d platformer, with a handful of exciting minigames such as box ball, pile of dunk, or tic pile toe. In standard platforming manner you can jump, dash, carry one another, and even throw each other off ledges. Pile Up is intended to be open to everyone, so it comes with simple controls, no penalties for failing, and very little time pressure.

If you have played any RPGs in your life, then chances are you have been annoyed when shops did not have the items you were seeking. Well in Merek’s Market you and your friends will have the opportunity to learn just how hard it is to be a shopkeeper. The game starts you off running your own medieval shop. You will need to haggle, barter, and craft items to sell. The gameplay appears to follow an overcooked style. You will have a large variety of customers coming in looking for specific items.

At the very beginning, you are presented with the option to choose between six different characters, and you unlock another upon beating the game! Different characters have different abilities and fighting styles that are unique to them; while also remaining similar enough to somewhat seamlessly transition to another character, other than losing your level progression! So you all get to enjoy learning your own character and bonding with them! Though some are definitely a little cooler than others. I found myself severely jealous of Carlee as she played Donatello, who in our opinion was far superior!

This franchise is getting its first multiplayer console game, and it honestly looks absolutely fantastic! My Singing Monsters Playground is a brand new local multiplayer game for 1-4 players. The game takes place in the My Singing Monsters world, and brings with it 7 playable monsters from previous games.
