This article is not just about satisfying the demand of Valentine's Day that you have to buy something for your significant other. We want these gifts to mean something. We want them to bring you closer together as a couple. I mean, that is what it really should all be about. So a lot of these items are things that you can do together to strengthen your relationship.
Flowers are one of the oldest gifts in the book and they're not that great. They die after a short period, and you're just gonna keep spending money on them over and over again. Now don't get me wrong, some women are going to love flowers. It's something that they love. My wife personally doesn't. She's told me not to waste money on flowers because they die so quickly. You can make it as big as you want. You can even make it out of Lego bricks. I'll be linking one on Amazon that you can go ahead and pick up for yourself. These puzzles will be really fun for the two of you to do together. Again, this is all about strengthening your relationship and having activities that you can spend time together. That is my goal for this entire article. So clear off the table, open your puzzle, and get putting it together. This next one is super cool, and I'm almost definitely getting it for Carlee for Valentine's Day, though I have not decided yet. It's called the Heroes Journal, and they have another set of cards called the SideQuest Deck that I'll talk about in a second here. But this is a journal that is all about making you the hero of your journey. It's got wonderfully hand-drawn art in it and different questions to prompt you on what you want to journal about for the day. Not to mention it just looks fantastic. I love that idea of centering yourself as the hero of your journey. And it relates so much with what we believe about gaming together, really bringing you closer together. But wait, I didn't forget about that SideQuest Deck. This is a deck of cards. We don't have it, but I want to get this one really bad. It's a deck of cards that is filled with SideQuest. So when you're sitting there scrolling on your phone or you're bored and don't know what to do, you pull out this deck, you shuffle it up, and you pull one of the cards. You can even look at them if you just want to choose one of the quests on the card for yourself. Or what I'll probably do is just draw one randomly, and it gives you a SideQuest. That's fantastic. We already talked about a subscription box, but I want you to consider a subscription to the paired app. Yeah, this might seem a little bit weird, but this is an app for your phone that you get to take quizzes on and they get sent over to your partner and your partner gets to take that quiz and then you get to see each other's results. It gives you prompts for questions to ask each other throughout the day and you get to answer those on the app and you get to keep a streak going.
We've been having a lot of fun with the daily questions that it's giving us or the daily quizzes and keeping our streak recently. So it's something that we're looking at getting that subscription because it just seems like such a fun app that is for those times when maybe you are on your lunch break, or you're on the toilet and you just start thinking about your spouse or your significant other and you want to send them something that lets them know that you're thinking about them and that's a fantastic thing that this app does.

As I was making this video, I came across this date deck on Amazon. This is another deck of cards and it's filled with questions. It kind of reminds me of the connection cards from the adventure challenge, but it's filled with all of these different questions that you get to play the game together and answer the questions and different colors correspond to a different deepness level for the questions. Some of them will be icebreakers and some of them will get you sharing a heart-to-heart and bearing your inner soul. So I've ordered this on Amazon already. It's gonna be here tomorrow and I'm excited to check it out with Carlee because we love those little things that prompt us to get to know each other better. Maybe it's because we're really bad at starting conversations with one another, but it's nice to have something to help push things along if that makes sense.
We already talked about the lego flowers right at the very beginning, but my wife found these on Amazon and she was in love. So maybe you were gonna be ordering these too. They are a little pricey, but they are custom models of the two of you in Lego form. It's not like real Lego, it's knockoff Lego. So it's like building blocks, but it looks like Lego to me. You get to have these custom Legos that you get to build together and then you can put it up on your mantle or your piano or your shelf in your studio behind you. And that's cute. I would recommend possibly looking at buying individual ones. You won't be on the same platform and you won't have that little heart between each other, but it'll save 20 bucks. So I don't know, you do you. I know that's Legos on here twice, but my wife loves Legos and I love Legos. They're so fun to put together and they're something you get to do together again. So Legos, they're awesome.

I took a poll of my siblings for this video. I called them up and I said, what kind of unique ideas do you guys have for gifts for Valentine's Day? And one thing that my brother enjoys is board games with his wife and Carlee loves board games. So I'm probably gonna buy this one that he recommended because I just struggled to play two-player board games. So hopefully this will help me out a little bit here. He recommended the unlock board game. This is a series of different board games that you play with a group of friends or you can play with just the two of you and it is like an escape room. So you get these cards, you pull them out and they have little hints and clues and you gotta figure out what's going on and solve the puzzle to end up escaping the room. We played this with him when he visited in the summer and had a blast with it. So again, another thing on our list of things we're eventually going to buy for each other. Of course, you could get any other two-player card game or board game, skipbo, or spot it. You know, any other board game that's two players.

Two other suggestions came from my siblings. My younger sister recommended a custom song, she said that her husband did this for her and got it put on a vinyl, which is pretty cool. You can go and hire people to make a custom song for you. I think that's a fantastic option. I don't know if I could write the lyrics for a song very well. Maybe you can give them little hints and stuff about, please write about this and write about this and write about this and turn it into a song for me. I don't know how it works but definitely look into it if that sounds like something that your significant other will love.

The third suggestion from my siblings came from two of them. I have nine siblings, by the way, which is a lot. I only called three of them. There are a couple more I could have called, but I didn't have a lot of time. So anyway, this one came from two of them and that is a custom date night. They both talked about how they prefer experiences. And that's kind of what this whole thing has been about, it’s about doing things that bring you closer together. So find yourself an experience. They mentioned going and learning how to make pottery and painting that pottery together. One of them did something with glass making. Find a new experience in your area, go ahead and do it. Whether it's going on a hike, whether it's doing one of those classes, like how to make glass stuff or how to make pottery, find a new experience and do it. This is kind of like the date book from earlier. So maybe you could just get the date book and use it to find your new experience.

One of our favorite bonding activities is playing video games together. So if you have a video game console, please do yourself a favor and buy "It Takes Two." This is a fantastic game.
